Another of the protagonists of The Sopranos, Michael Imperioli wanted to fire his partner and friend this Friday on his Instagram account, referring to him as a “tough, loyal and big-hearted” guy.

Throughout his career, Tony Sirico appeared in more than 40 movies and 18 television shows, but before becoming an actor, he was a mobster who was arrested 28 times until he debuted in the movie Crazy Joe (1974), giving life to Joey Gallo. The first time he was arrested, he was seven years old and it was for stealing coins from a newsstand.

In 1967, he served a 13-month prison sentence for robbing a nightclub in New York. In 1971 he pleaded guilty to weapons possession and a judge sentenced him to four years in prison, but he only served 20 months behind bars.

The childhood and adult life of Gennaro Anthony Sirico Jr. -his full name- took place in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, an Italian neighborhood known for hosting well-known members of the mob.
