Chanel Terrero’s Eurovision success, winner of the first Benidorm Fest, meant the final approval of the new TVE formula to choose the candidate in the European music contest, with great expectation to know what next year’s edition will be like.
TVE has given a press conference today to announce the news, which are not few. Singer Mónica Naranjo will be the presenter of the Benidorm Fest 2023taking the witness to Alaska, Màxim Huerta and Inés Hernanddrivers of the first edition, held last January.

The composer has never been linked to Benidorm or Eurovision. Let us remember that the Benidorm Fest 2022 jury was made up of Natalia Calderón, Miryam Benidited, Estefanía García, Felix Bergsson and Marvin Dietmann, who in sum awarded the following points: Chanel (51), Rigoberta Bandini (46), Blanca Paloma (39), Rayden (37), Tanxugueiras (30), Xeinn (30), Varry Brava (25) and Gonzalo Hermida (12 ).
The three galas and the same voting system are maintained
Regarding the mechanics, the three galas: two semi-finals with eight artists in each on Sunday, January 31 and Tuesday, February 2, 2023, and with a grand finale, saturday 4th february in which the eight artists who have passed the semifinals will compete and from them will come out the Spanish representative in Eurovision.
There are no changes in the voting system that, that will be shared with a 50% for the verdict of a professional jury with experts from the world of Spanish and foreign music; a 25% for public televoting and the other The remaining 25% for a demographic jury.
Finally, the capacity is increased of the finery, with tickets on sale at a price between 20 and 60 euros.
